Years 4 to 6 serve to consolidate the earlier foundation and begin the transition into senior school life. Here, pupils learn to be more independent and to take greater responsibility for their own learning. They are encouraged to question, scrutinize and develop more complex learning skills.
Girls continue to be prepared for the 11+ examinations.
The Arts, Sports and other extra curricular activities play a great part in the girls' school life, strengthening confidence and team spirit.
Because we have the advantage of our own Upper School, by Year 6 girls are integrated into the senior school system. Here our girls are taught by specialist Upper School teachers and are able to mix with older girls who act as role models. This supports a smooth transition from primary to secondary education.
